Grace and peace.
Date: 2026-02-06
As I stated last week -
Over the next few weeks, I want to explain the Ministry Plan for 2026.
This year's Theme is:"Hearts on Fire" and ourfocus is going on asking God to set our heartson fire to be All Souls - ALL INVOLVED.
The ministry of All Believers is a critical aspect of our community life.By Baptism we are called to service in the community of God.Here at All Souls, where All are Welcome andAll are Loved, it is time that we All got involved.
Everything we do here is ministry, whetherleading liturgical worship, serving teas, planting in the garden, or visiting the sick and housebound - it is the presence of Christthrough you.Everyone who engages with ministry is both a minister and a recipient of ministry.
Therefore, learning to work together is essential.Jesus sent His disciples out two by two.At All souls we do not structure entire ministries under the leadership of one individual: but we develop a team and have champions of each component of the ministry. This way more people can beinvolved and a team developed. This also facilitates collaboration betweenministries. Each Ministry needs a prayer, administration and a hands-on component.
*How do you get involved?*
If you know where you would like to serve, approach me or one of the known teammembers and we will engage with you. If you don't know whereyou would like to serve; ask for more information or join one of our ministry sessions that will happen throughout the year.
On Council there will be a portfolio for eachministry that ensures that this integratedapproach to ministry is effective. I use the music team as an example, someone has to choose the songs and play the instruments and load the proclaim or put the hymn numbers on the board, and the worship portfolio on Council will monitor and evaluate it's effectiveness;*but we all have to sing!*That is how we make music, to the glory of God! That is how we grow a garden, care for the sick, reach out to the lost. That is how we worship, and how we love the world back to God.
