Grace and peace.

Grace and peace.

We had a glorious celebration of the Ascension and look forward to focusing on serving the King of Kings. As we were encouraged there to enter into our inner sanctum and seek the Lord with all our heart soul and mind and accept the power of the Holy Spirit at work in us so that we can serve God and fulfil his mission in our time.

We constantly have opportunities for ministry, and we are working on ways to develop them. Our Education program continues and we have some progress being made in supporting this. A new opportunity has arisen for people who have a passion for "mental health" and I wish to start a conversation group around the issue, and then develop a ministry team. If you are interested in counselling, prayer ministry specifically around spirituality and wholeness, or maybe you have fresh insight; please contact me.

This is part of our ministry development strategy which seeks to expose people to ministries that they can participate in and receive support through. We aim to follow a participative and person-centered approach of shared ministry and opportunity for engagement. We will not develop a program until we have brough the gifts and talents of the people to share and collaboratively develop ministries. Our aim is to develop Discipleship where we use people's gifts to uplift the community and go out.

With Synod just over a month away I ask for your prayers for our diocese as we meet to deliberate on our life together, prayer for Bishop Ndwandwe as he presides over his last Synod.

Be assured of my prayers for you as we serve God together in this place.

Rector.
