Grace and peace

Grace and peace, from God our Father and His Son Jesus Christ, who by the power of the Holy Spirit, is at work in this broken world, through us, and in us.

On the 25th of July we will host the Bishop's Farewell Service here at All Soul's.

We would like to contribute towards a gift for him and have made envelopes available for individuals to make personal contributions to this. I encourage you to give thanks for his wonderful ministry, by supporting this initiative.

On the 14th we have our combined 9AM Confirmation and Lay Minister Licensing Service. It will be proceeded by a Quiet Day on the Saturday, 13th. I encourage people to attend this as we reflect on the gift pf the Holy Spirit, who is at work in us. It will be a wonderful for the candidates to share with the body and you will all benefit from the experience.

With Synod just around the corner, we have been preparing for this important event in our lives and I would like to encourage you to be fervent in prayer for the life of our Diocese. It has been uplifting and concerning to read the reports from the Schools and Guilds and Ministries. We have many souls out there working very hard in the Kingdom and the challenges are great. But we thank God for the faithful who work tirelessly to reach out to the world through education, social and environmental responsibility, evangelism and fellowship to build up the body and care for all that God has created.

We are hosting the Safe and Inclusive Church Conference and the 17th and 18th of July. The group will worship at All Saint's Stanger on the Sunday. Please pray for that event and the training that will be done. If you are willing to assist the hosting team, please contact Cara.

Be of good courage, do not sway from that which God has called you to. As we develop new ministries and strengthen existing ones, remember to be patient and faithful, things take time, so do not lose momentum and do not back down. Keep your eyes on Jesus and maintain your course.

Be assured of my prayers, and pray for me, that I may do God's will in all things.

A servant of Christ.
