God is Good

God is good, and his mercy endures forever.

Friday's seem to come around so quickly,

and yet I can hardly remember, at all,

what happened last Friday.

Life just seems to be racing by ata breakneck pace.

On Tuesday afternoon I sat in a room full ofclergy and lay leaders of our Church, who were faced with the question,

Why does the Anglican church need to bepresentin these parts'?

The people looked apprehensively at the Bishop, as he challenged them withthis existential question. What are we supposed to be doing here?

I won't give you their answer,I want you to answer it for yourself.

What impact does your faith, your churchmanship, your membership, have on the world around you?

As we go through the parables of Matthewwe see Jesus talking to people in parables, examples from the world that require, interpretation and careful consideration totranslate into something meaningful in our lives. The psalmists says "my soul thirsts for the living God."Does yours? Do I bear witness to the thirst that we should have for God? Pray for me, that my witness may be authentic and effective for God. My prayer is that as you read scripture and pray that the Spirit of God, will deepen inyou'reyour understanding of God and of your purpose.

As we seek to develop ministry opportunities, begin by prayerfully considering your callingand find others to join with you in discussion and discernment of God's will.On Wednesday the 22stat 15h00-16h00 I will be hosting a meeting for anyone who has expressed interest in the Education Ministry of our Church,in any form, as we seek to move this forward. We are in the process of developing our support program for education inNkobongo.Extra lessons, skills development, exam prep etc.I look forward to meeting with you.

I am also looking for a volunteer to do a Tuesday afternoon Bible Lesson at theNkobongoResource Center, 15h00-16h00.

May God strengthen us as we respond to His call.

Be assured of my prayers.
