I always give thanks for you in my prayers.

A special thank you for your prayers and support for Lara and I as we traveled to Pretoria last weekend to lead the Chapter of the Third Order, Society of St Francis.

I spent two days with my counterparts form Zambia, Uganda and Zimbabwe and then two days with members from Lesotho and the rest of South Africa, reviewing the life of our Order and recommiting to serve Christ as the "face of hope in a broken world."

As we continue with our Stewardship month and a reordering of our affiliation with all of God's blessings given into our care, may we embrace all life as sacred. May we see the sacred in all things and seek God's revelation of himself in each other and all things.

May the love of Christ keep us focused on God and his love as,

"We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time." (Romans 8:22 NIV)

God is listening and he is leading us to respond in love with mercy and justice.

May he who has called us strengthen us in the task that we have been given, in Christ:

To love the world back to God.
