The Earth is the Lord's and Everything in it

The earth is the Lord's and everything in it.
As the spring rains have showered us with blessings so the gardens are springing to life. The observant, will notice brush clearing and new plantings and pruning of trees, all to maintain our beautiful grounds. We are grateful for this project that also aims to provide flowers for the arrangements, that as you know are one of the "prides, of All Souls."
We are grateful to Graham Yoko who will be preaching at All Souls this weekend, while I am in Greytown attending to the Churches there.
On Saturday we have our final Diocesan Council (DC) for the year and the Budget will be approved. I ask for your prayers as we commit to the ministry of the Diocese for the next year. The DC will need to step out in faith and commit to what needs to be done. We are compelled to invest in the life of the Church and ensure that we build capacity for growth. Every Parish will need to commit to this and we as a Parish will be revising our 2026 Budget based on the final Diocesan Budget. We know that we need to address Clergy Training and the Central Fund deficit if we want to grow the church and meet the needs of God's people in this place.
As we conclude the Liturgical year this Sunday, with the celebration of Christ the King - we are reminded that we need to keep our eyes on Jesus, who is King of Kings and Lord of Lord's.
We need to walk in His ways and draw on His wisdom.
May our God bless us as we seek Him.
May He guide us to walk in His truth
and may He empower us to do His will.
Do not be anxious about anything -
trust God, and stay focused.
Rector.
